New College Teams

College Teams Renewing A Membership?   CRP Renewal
PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST (FOR FIELD ONLY)
¤ Team is registered and all fees are paid
¤ Team manifest is submitted to CRP Site
¤ Team members are members in good standing with URRG and either www.nar.org or www.tripoli.org. Only members of NAR or Tripoli are permitted on the field. 
¤ High Power Certification forms are filled out at least 7 days prior to launch date CRP Site- No cert flights within 2 hours of end of day. 
¤ Group/ Team Projects have been approved 2 weeks prior to launch. CRP Site
¤ Flight has been simulated. Flight is within projected ceiling and is simulated to land on the field given projected winds.
¤ Rockets should be fully constructed and craftsmanship reviewed by college team leadership before arriving at the field.
¤ All flight safety calculations must be reviewed by the college team leadership before arriving at the field.

¤ Team Leaders have verified weather/ altitude / Go/No Go on the Wednesday prior to launch on Discord
¤
Flight Cards are completely filled out  CRP Online Flight Card (required)
¤ Travel plans set for arrival by 8 am for set up. 
¤ Volunteers for set up and/or take down have been assigned


Launch General Information
  • GO / NO GO Decision Wednesday Evening- Check this site and Discord
  • Set up begins at 8 am. Flights start at 9 am Best flying is before 10 am.
  • You must be a Tripoli (TRA) or NAR member to fly. All rules are followed on field.
  • Flight card is required for every flight CRP Online Flight Card (required)
  • Last flights: 5 pm on Saturday, 1 pm on Sunday (unless prior arrangements)
  • All flights subject to field conditions and weather. MAX Altitude Ceiling is contingent on winds permitting on field retrieval. Contact URRG BOD ahead of time via Discord
  • All flights must land ON FIELD. No one is permitted to go off field to retrieve a rocket without URRG BOD express permission
  • SPEED Limit is 5 mph NO EXCEPTIONS
  • Carry in/Carry out- Leave no trash
  • PortaJohn will be available- please use
  • ALL Rockets MUST be retrieved.
  • Our onsite vendor is One Bad Hawk
High Power Certifications

All College Certifications MUST fill out the URRG online form NO LATER than 7 days before the launch (i.e. May 7 for May 14 )

Launch Day Operations Flow

¤ Arrive 8 am and  Assist with field set up
¤ Finish rocket prep (ex. check altimeters/trackers, load black powder, install motor)
     Do NOT INSERT IGNITER
     Do NOT TURN ON ELECTRONICS
¤ Present rocket to RSO for inspection. Bring flight card.
¤ Bring rocket to LCO flight desk for pad assignment (ie. 1010/1515/unistrut)
¤ Proceed to assigned pad when authorized with one helper. Only NAR or Tripoli members are permitted at the pads
¤ Load rocket on to rail and move rail to vertical.  **Ask for help if needed**
¤ Turn on electronics
¤ Install igniter ( bring tape to insure igniter is fully seated in motor)
¤ Check continuity at box
¤ Wait behind flight line for launch.
¤ Retrieve your rocket. Notify club if you can't find your rocket or if it landed off the field. 
¤ Assist with tear down at end of day
