Welcome to the Upstate Rocketry Research Group (URRG)  website. Your privacy is important to us. URRG has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website:

Information We Collect

This privacy notice applies to all of the information collected and submitted on the URRG website. On some pages, you can apply for membership, renew membership, register and purchase products. The types of information collected include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Credit/debit card information
  • Information about NAR and/or Tripoli Number

Parents – URRG  is concerned about the privacy of your children and does not knowingly collect information about children without parental supervision. We encourage you to actively monitor your child’s Internet activities, including those on our website.

General Visitors

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. However, we do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that visitors’ accesses will be tracked, but the visitors themselves remain anonymous.

You are not required to provide any identifying information in order to visit and use the information residing on our site.

URRG  collects information on a voluntary basis. If you choose to join URRG  by filling out one of our application forms, you will be required to give us contact information (like your name and email address), unique identifiers (your NAR or Tripoli membership number, if you have one), financial information (a credit card number), and demographic information (like your zip code)

We use the member contact and demographic information from these application forms to send you membership communications. The contact information you supply on our application forms is also used by URRG to contact you when necessary (for example, to renew your membership).

The financial information that you provide is used to bill you for Membership and other Events, such as URRF.  All credit information is collected on a secure website.

URRG membership records are not shared with other organizations who have similar interests or missions; your complete membership record information is not passed on to other mailing lists.

Members may also opt-out of receiving future mailings from URRG itself by terminating their memberships; see the “Choice/Opt-Out” procedure below.

Online Shopping and “Cookies”

We make use of a commercial “shopping cart” software package for our online shopping offerings such as URRF. This package makes use of browser “cookies” as a way of remembering the contents of your “shopping cart” while you are actively using the ordering software. This software and the cookies it sets are not under our control, and, outside the shopping-cart software itself, these cookies are not examined or used elsewhere on our site, nor are their contents available to any other site.

Otherwise, our website does not set, read, maintain, or in any way use browser “cookies.”

This site contains links to other websites.  These external websites are not under the control of or administered by URRG. URRG is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other websites.
