SLI Launch?

So how did the SLI launch with the team from Cornell go yesterday?

sorry Mike, just saw this post. Blew up on the pad...  Aerotech L1300, AT looked it over and the findings were that the early run of DR rocket hardware had issues with some very soft alloy that caused the threads in the forward closure to strip and blow. they are rebuilding and plan to try again this Saturday.

Wow, that sucks. Well I wish them better luck for the next launch.

To the two teams doing their NASA SLI launches out in Potter this Saturday Morning, I want to wish both of them the best of luck with their flights. To the Cornell team under Dan Sheerer and the RPI team under Jody Johnson.

Both teams had successful flights on Sunday- we pulled the plug about 11 am on Saturday due to cloud cover and ungodly wind.
