Gorham Library show and tell

On Tuesday July 17th the Upstate research rocketry group was the host display for the Gorham Library summer program. The display was from 6:00pm – 7:45pm. This included a tracker display and about 30 rockets of different shapes and sizes. Riley Keller, DonnaJo Elling and Greg Elling also had a discussion about how to make the perfect epoxy fillet on a fiberglass rocket. Although attendance was low at the library it gave us time to get together and learn from each other.

I gave them all the information about when and where we are and the organization representative wants to come and see what we are all about.

Unfortunately I had to cancel this event, Don T will be in Florida, Tim W has been called upon to take his scout troop on a camping event and I am going in for surgery on Friday and that left only Donna E. ahh NO.  The good news is that the contact person wants to come to the field to see for her self what we have and what we do, so every one please be on your best behavior. :)

Thank you Larry.
I agree. I would like to see a 25 spot for Gas and tolls in the form of a gas receipt.

This is a Boy Scout of America membership drive. we have been invited to have a display, possibly help with building, a launch if the weather is good, Promote U.R.R.G.   the more people that sign up means the more things we can help them with.  Elmira is only 1 hr and 15 min from our field. talk about getting more family's involved.

please contact Greg Elling if you can help. 607-869-9658.

very cool about the hooks being shortened . I did not know that..  I too am working on a super neon XL. waiting for paint now. One thing I did to mine was to add 2 18mm motor mounts inside 2 of the fin tubes. I am looking for a little extra umph off the pad.

Last year my son gave this Estes Black Star Voyager to me for Christmas. getting the angle on the fin clusters is a bit of a trick, and I am glad I had a lot of time to build it over the winter months. The first flight was on April 25th 2015 on a D12-3, I am ready to toss an E or F into this one.
I would love to see some one do an upscale on this one.
